Editorial Content

All editorial content on Culinary Chatter is written by myself, Tim McMinn, and is based on my views alone.  My views are made up from my own experiences, food that I have eaten and food that I have cooked or seen being cooked first hand, by home cooks and professional chefs.

About my Editorial Content

I  started writing my blog in December 2014, but have been interested in food for much longer.  I gained my initial interest when I was younger, from watching numerous food related television programmes (and I still do), along with reading many cook books including food writing.  I have visited 81 different counties around the world and eaten in all types of restaurants.  From food carts in the Caribbean to 3 Hatted fine dining restaurants in Melbourne, plus all types of cafes, bistros, diners, pubs and street food stalls in between.  I find having this experience and knowledge helps considerably when reviewing restaurants.  I will include restaurants that I have found disappointing, but I will be constructive in my criticism.  I am not here to tell readers never to eat in a particular restaurant.

Recipes

All recipes that I include in my blog will have been tested by myself.  If they didn’t work, they do not get included.  (I have a lot that need tweaking and will appear at a later date!)   Some recipes are made up by myself and other inspired by restaurants I have visited, or cookbooks I have read.  If this is the case, it is clearly noted in the post.  I often state a glug of oil or a  good pinch of salt, so rely on your experience and taste buds to guide you.  This may not hep somebody who has never cooked before, but it does not mean they cannot successfully use the recipe.

Public Relations

Culinary Chatter is occasional hosted to meals at restaurants to experience their food.  This will always be clearly indicated in the post.  Any products offered to Culinary Chatter as a sample, that I decide fit in with my content of my blog, will either get recognised in a blog post, or via my social media. The company offering them will be mentioned and it will be clearly marked that they are a gift.
